The CPE requires course fees paid by students to be protected. Nexus has in place a Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) to protect the paid fees of all students. The FPS serves to protect the student’s fees in the event that the School is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. In addition, the FPS protects the student if the School fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts.
Nexus has appointed Lonpac Insurance Bhd, a CPE-appointed service provider, as our FPS insurance provider. Under the FPS insurance scheme, students’ fees are insured by Lonpac Insurance Bhd. In case of events, as stated above, students will be able to claim their paid fees from Lonpac Insurance Bhd.
The insurance coverage shall commence from the date of payment of the fees till the due date of the next payment or the course end date whichever is earlier.
Upon payment of the insurance premium, Lonpac Insurance Bhd will issue a Certificate of Insurance to the insured Student directly via email, for cash, cheque and credit card payments. For payments via Electronic Funds Transfer, the COI will be issued to the Student within three (3) banking dates after the date of payment.
More details of the FPS can also be found in the FPS Instruction Manual, available at www.tpgateway.gov.sg.
