Growing up in Slovakia, Vicki has lived and taught in the UK for over 25 years. She has taught a wide range of subjects to varying range of ages and abilities over her teaching career. For example, she has taught and led a D&T Department, catering to KS2, KS3, GCSE and A Level Product design.
She is a strong believer in the benefit of young people taking an active part in charity activities and she is always looking to provide opportunities for students to get involved in solving or supporting local or global charitable and environmental matters. For example, she had previously taken students to Zambia to support projects such as building dormitories and teaching IT skills to make a difference to the people in the village.
Outside of the classroom, Vicki has passion for physical activities, previously teaching in PE programs and currently a level 2 swimming and level 1 snorkelling coach. She teaches individuals from ages 2 to 80. For her own personal enjoyment, she is an active player and coach of the GB Underwater hockey team. She received a bronze medal in the World Championships in Eger in 2013 and captained many teams in UK-based and European-based competitions. She loves travelling, meeting with local people to learn about their cultures and traditions. She takes the experiences in her life to inspire and engage her students. She is passionate about life and learning and she wishes to share these with the eager minds in the classroom.
