Susie moved to Singapore from the United Kingdom in 2019 with her husband and three daughters. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she is delighted to join the team at Nexus. After obtaining her PGCE in the UK, Susie taught in London for 4 years where she became a Lead Literacy Teacher for the Borough of Westminster and obtained a further qualification as an Advanced Skills Teacher (AST). As an AST, Susie enjoys mentoring fellow teachers as part of school improvement. She has taught in various educational settings and has experienced leadership roles, most recently as the Head of Mathematics in a Middle School in Windsor. Susie believes passionately in creating a collaborative classroom where all learners feel valued, inspired and safe to take risks. In her free time, Susie enjoys playing the piano and is a keen tennis player and runner. With her elder two children being competitive swimmers, she also enjoys spending time cheering on the Nexus Swim Team.
