Ryan began as a Year 3 and 4 Classroom Assistant with Nexus when he first arrived in Singapore in 2017. Since 2019 he has been co-teaching in Year 3 and 5 while completing his Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from Warwick University. Ryan graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and completed a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. He believes emphatically in promoting physical health and wellbeing as part of helping develop successful learners. He has been active in coaching Nexus football teams in the early and middle Primary Years. Originally from the mountain state of Colorado, Ryan spent 10 years living in New Zealand where he met his wife Sonya, also a teacher at Nexus. Being a lifelong learner, Ryan enjoys experiencing life through travel and reading, and seeking out adventures with his lovely wife and 2 energetic boys.
